I was wondering how I could export or archive my twitter data and this was not possible from twitter.com.
No tool or software was able to do this, an automated way of getting all my twitter data was my goal and it looked this was impossible, untill I found thinkUp!
ThinkUpApp is database driven and runs php code from a webserver, I have it running on my Synology NAS
The tool is crawling my twitter account every 4 hours and is capturing all data regarding this account including retweets, replies, links and even maps replies with google-maps, very cool.
This crawling is being done via an RSS subscription, I run a RSS Reader on my home-server and it does a GET on this RSS url every 4 hours, this way ThinkUpApp is (automated) updated.
All your tweets from your twitter account are being indexed and also can be searched, very usefull.
Several social-media types can be indexed or crawled, and can be made available for public purposes, handy feature for companies social-media profiles.
